Alta Harvest Station

ALTA HARVEST STATION

ALTA HARVEST STATION

Uncommon Respect for:

  • Community— We created public park space that provides for both residents and the surrounding neighborhood
  • Residents— The design and layout of an innovative pool and clubhouse that we implemented, respects the need for a gathering place and broad range of amenities for all residents
  • Connectivity— Our approach to walkability is presented in an interconnected walk and trail system that provides access to transit and the community event center

Consilium Design planned the Alta at Harvest Station as a luxury community that features the highest quality landscape and architectural design. Alta has an extensive amenity package including direct garage access, secured site access, a luxury pool and community center.

We complimented the outdoor features with an event lawn, a central mail kiosk, a bicycle repair station, a dog park, a recycling facility, electric car charging stations and a full range of concierge services.

Alta at Harvest Station, a 297-unit, transit-oriented apartment community in Broomfield, Colorado received unanimous approval from the Broomfield City Council.  Located immediately east of the 1st Bank Center and the RTD US 36 & Broomfield Park-n-Ride, the community is 15 minutes from work and recreational opportunities in both Denver and Boulder.  A commuter rail station is also planned just southeast of Alta at Harvest Station.

ALTA ASPEN GROVE

  • Public Open Space — A landscape buffer along Platte Park respects and enhances the existing open space experience for park users
  • Ecology — The highly drought tolerant plant palette respects the park ecosystem by prohibiting new invasive species, while minimizing the need for supplemental irrigation
  • Water Quality — A water quality bio-swale intercepts all storm water runoff from the site
  • Viewshed — View corridors are preserved within the community from South Platte River Parkway through the park foothills to improve visual connectivity of open space

Alta Aspen Grove, a 280-unit transit oriented apartment community in Littleton, Colorado, was selected as the Multi-Family Project of the Year at the 2012 Rocky Mountain Commercial Real Estate Expo.  This Silver certified LEED for Home community is located within convenient walking distance of the Mineral Avenue light rail station and the Aspen Grove Lifestyle Center.  The community also adjoins South Platte Park, Carson Nature Center and the Platte River Greenway.  Alta Aspen Grove offers residents a truly unique opportunity for convenient access to active outdoor recreation and a range of urban amenities.

City Homes at Boulevard One

Boulevard One is a townhome neighborhood within the Lowry community in Denver. Consilium Design worked to create visually interesting spaces for pedestrian and vehicular pathways with select plantings, hardscapes and site furnishings. Signature plants work within a hierarchy through each space to provide an environmental service as well as define visual cues to enhance safety along corridors and improve the atmosphere of each private space.

VILLAGE EAST

Consilium Design is currently providing Land Planning and Land Use Feasibility services for the Village East Mixed- Use Neighborhood in the Town of Windsor, CO. The design goal at the Village East neighborhood is to explore alternative design approaches for residential and mixed-use development consistent with the Town of Windsor’s comprehensive plan designations for general commercial and mixed-use residential development for the property.

The design development process demonstrates an uncommon respect for:

  • Low impact, compact neighborhood design that reduces the development footprint and maximizes open space.
  • The compact neighborhood design creates the opportunity to manage storm water and flood flows along the John Law Ditch.
  • The greater community open space will benefit not only this neighborhood, but surrounding neighborhoods with and interconnected trail system.

ROARING FORK

ROARING FORK RIVERFRONT RESIDENCE

The property is a 72-acre private residence outside a small mountain community. The Roaring Fork River runs through the property and great care was taken to reinvigorate the riparian corridor with bank stabilization and the planting of native wetland species. The main drive was realigned to make use of the redesigned pond, the rolling topography, and spectacular views to the surrounding mountain ranges. High impact, xeric planting was placed at key areas to emphasize prominent features of the site.

SUNNY RANCH MOUNTAIN RANCH

This project is nestled in the mountains of a small mountain community.  With over 900 acres of Aspen Forest, the property boasts spectacular views throughout.  An agricultural complex was built at the heart of the property complete with horse pasture, Hugelkultur planting beds, a greenhouse, and finally, a chicken coop.  Ponds were added to accommodate geese, horses, and local fauna.  Special care was taken to design around an existing elk wallow, while creating a workable, livable, agricultural center for the property.
