PROMENADE

PARK

Promenade Park Point at Ridgegate

Promenade Park is a 4.4-acre parcel within the RidgeGate master planned community in Lone Tree, Colorado. The site is ADA accessible despite grade challenges, connecting to the Willow Creek pedestrian trail system.

Topographic and environmental factors were design challenges for this park, with Willow Creek cutting directly through the site accompanied by significant slopes and grade changes. The Consilium Design team designed meandering retaining walls to preserve the Willow Creek wetlands and floodplain and create functional surfaces within the park.

Keeping in mind the proximity to single family residential developments, Consilium planned gathering spaces for the surrounding community which included implementing a large plaza, shade structures, unique seating, turf areas for active play and a play area for children.

  • Ecology — Open space is consolidated into larger areas to preserve native plants and wildlife habitat while simplifying maintenance
  • History — The rustic appeal and view corridor along Leyden Road is maintained by preserving the native landscape

  • Topography— The master plan responds to a unique landscape with careful housing layouts that work seamlessly throughout elevation change
  • Lifestyle— The design offers diverse housing options with an uncommon sense of individuality and sense of place for residents
  • Culture— Multiple pedestrian oriented neighborhoods linked within an overall community influences the sense of place through a mix of neighborhood-serving uses, including an elementary school, a community recreation center, and a variety of retail and office spaces.

GWorld Real Estate’s master-planned, transit oriented community is conveniently located just across the Yangtze River, southeast of downtown Chongqing.  The Municipality of Chongqing is home to over 30 million people, with 14 million people living in a densely-urbanized region.  Development of the GWorld project is a key component of the planned growth of this emerging metropolis.  Connected to Downtown Chongqing by light rail, commuter/shuttle bus and highway transit, the GWorld community is ideally located for mixed-use and residential development.  Uses surrounding the site include a government office campus and manufacturing facilities that will expand the employment base.  A 72-hole championship golf course community is underway to the west and a large community park and open space is planned to the south.  Approximately 680,000 square meters of building development is anticipated within the community, including over 60,000 square meters of commercial/retail and as many as 4,000 residential units.  An extensive, interconnected system of open spaces, parkways and amenities create the exciting backdrop for new urban living residents.

Irish Miner's Memorial

IRISH MINER’S

MEMORIAL

Irish Miner’s Memorial

In 2019, Consilium Design was invited to enter a design competition sponsored by the Irish Network Colorado, INCO for the memorial of an unmarked grave of Irish miners that had worked in the mines found in Leadville, CO.  Shortly after winning the competition, Consilium Design then proceeded to refine the competition design; work closely with the centerpiece sculptor from Ireland; work with local friends of the project; assist with fund raising efforts; estimate costs, solicit bids, and prepare construction documents.

We are proud to announce that Consilium Design has been providing construction administration services for the construction of the memorial and it plans to be installed by the fall of 2022.  It has been an honor to be part of this amazing project and to help memorize these Irish miners.
