Whisper Creek II
- Lifestyle — High quality, low maintenance homes serving multiple living styles provide for the change of lifestyle through future generations.
- Community — Centralized open space provides a variety of outdoor activities for residents
- Connectivity — The 10-acre park design offers a trail system with links to regional trails
Whisper Creek II introduces a 92-acre, mixed-use neighborhood center addition to the Whisper Creek master plan. A variety of residential uses including multi-family, town homes, duplex and single-family homes are included in the plan, providing diversity and an effective transition from other residential neighborhoods. The plan also offers areas for small businesses and restaurants along with opportunities for larger office and retail spaces. To further support of neighborhood amenities, the Foothills Community Church plans to improve additional facilities near new developments. As the site nears its core, a 10-acre park can be found weaving through each neighborhood with connections to adjacent regional trails.
Consilium Design provided master planning and landscape architecture services to create a connected community with a network of parks and open spaces. The landscape plantings follow the same low maintenance, high quality ideals as the neighborhood plan by using xeric and native plant materials. The park is strategically located to preserve and enhance the views of Standley Lake and features traditional uses such as a “tot lot” and open fields along with non-traditional uses like pop-jet fountains and passive areas for reflection.
